When Quake 3 Arena came out in 1999 it was truly a revolutionary game. As soon as ID Software released the source code, a ton of clones cropped up. But Alien Arena is one of the most faithful.
Alien Arena is a 3D shoot-em-up that captures the feel of the legendary Q3A. In online multi-player mode you can enter into death matches in enormous arenas. In single player mode, you'll go up against enemies controlled by the computer. Technically speaking, Alien Arena is impressive. The graphics are dark, moody (as they should be) and very well done. Kudos go for the sound effectss as well. Alien Arena is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista.
