Bootfighter Windom
We can't help gushing over Bootfighter Windom. It is truly a masterpiece. Something you'd expect to find on sale in the shop alongside other professional games. Luckily for all of us, it's actually a free PC game available for the taking.
This shoot-em-up features giant and powerful robots. With mecha teams pitted one against the other, it brings to mind Gundam Versus Gundam (also called Armored Core). Choose your desired robot and then start battling using laser beams to eliminate your adversaries. There are various modes available including practice, arcade, battle, single player and multi-player. Play friends (or perfect strangers) online.
Technically, the game is impressive with rich graphics, mind-blowing robots and excellent backgrounds and music. Sounds great, right? Well there is just one catch. You'll need a very powerful computer to play - at least 2 (if not 3) GHZ with at least 2 GB of RAM and a graphics card with 256 MB (even better with 512 MB) of memory. The game works on Windows XP (updated with Service Pack 2) and Windows Vista.
