Hedgewars
Hedgewars is a strategy game that brings to mind the fun Worms shoot-em-up game. But this is not just some clone, and has some interesting little touches of its own, which are impressive seeing as though this is a free game.
The stars of the show aren't worms but fun little hedgehogs who are armed to the teeth. Weapons include dynamite, grenades, bombs and baseball bats.
You can take turns playing with a friend on the same computer or play against others online via multiplayer mode.
The game is bright, colorful and fun to look at. If you have an HD monitor, you'll really appreciate it. There are about ten different boards in the whole game. While this isn't a masterpiece in gaming, it definitely will keep you entertained and can hold its own against the games you'll find out on the shelf for sale. And that's saying something.
