Open Sonic
Open Sonic is a fun 2D platform game that takes off on the Sonic games from Mega Drive - with some important additions.
With Open Sonic, you can control up to three characters at the same time. To get past the various levels, you'll have to make the most of the abilities of Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. It goes without saying that the first character is super fast, the second knows how to work his tail and the third knocks out walls and can climb on things that would otherwise not be able easily overcome.
The screens are all new and don't come from old chapters of the Sonic saga. The levels are full of jumps, ramps, underground tunnels, secret passages and more. From a technical standpoint, this game is certainly not shabby. The characters are perfect and the backgrounds colorful and fresh, harkening back to the style of the first three episodes of Sonic.
One cool thing about this game is the editor that allows you to make personalized boards by moving elements on to a map. You don't even need to know any programming languages. Open Sonic is available for Windows and Linux. To play just open the compressed file and start playing. No need for download!
