DeviantART started way back in 2000 and quickly became a favorite with digital art lovers.
It's basically a large showcase for displaying or downloading works. The site rounds up backgrounds, desktop themes, visual styles, icons and skins for any type of program (from Winamp to Firefox), wallpaper for cell phones, banners, avatars for instant messaging or simple designs made in Photoshop or other graphics programs. Navigating the site couldn't be easier thanks to its clear, linear setup.
Becoming a member of the community is free and allows you to have your own personal space. All materials found on DeviantART are free but can't be utilized on other sites or blogs without written permission from the artist. You can support the project by going to the shop section and buying items, such as coffee mugs, mouspads, t-shirts, puzzles or posters featuring your favorite prints.
