Keep in Touch with Google Talk
Google, the most famous internet search engine, has just launched a new service - Google Talk - which allows you to speak to your friends and relatives via the internet.
It may seem like a simple messenger program but underneath the surface are loads of useful functions. Obviously, Google Talk allows you to send written messages over the web. But it also lets you make voice calls, just like the infamous Skype program. The calling function on Google Talk is an easy and fun way to talk to your contacts...and what's more, it's FREE!
Google Talk (beta version) requires a Gmail address to access the service. For audio conversations, an ADSL line is best and of course you will need a microphone and speakers. Definitely worth a look!
