Penzu fancies itself the "easiest way to keep a journal on the Web." The look is not that of a blog but of an actual journal, just like the kind you used to keep back in eighth grade.
All you do is begin typing on the lined notepad (which again will take you back to your school days). Jot down whatever you feel like - your thoughts, your feelings, poetry. The only "extra" feature is the ability to upload images. You can, however, also write online, save your journal privately and then print it for your own uses. Don't worry about continuously having to "save" as the autosave feature will make sure you don't lose data.
No bells or whistles here but it's a cute old-school idea. Sometimes simpler is better.
