HandBrake
HandBrake is an open-source DVD converter that is incredibly feature rich for a free program.
With HandBrake you can convert your entire DVD collection into a variety of formats, including Divx,
Xvid, Mpeg, Avi and even video formats compatible with iPods, cell phones and PSPs. All you have to do
is put in a DVD, start the program, choose the format and level of compression desired. You can also
play around with audio formats. DVD conversion is quite fast, though it will also depend on how fast
your computer is. The interface is quite spartan but incredibly easy to understand.
HandBrake is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
