IBM Lotus Symphony
Are you tired of using Microsoft Office for writing or modifying your documents? Free office suites abound but now there's a new one to try out: IBM Lotus Symphony.
IBM Lotus Symphony is an office suite based on OpenOffice. The package includes three programs. Lotus Symphony Documents for text documents, Lotus Symphony Presentations, which is its answer to PowerPoint, and finally Lotus Symphony Spreadsheets for doing Excel-type documents (there is also the ability to open Excel files with the Lotus package). All of the applications boast a nice interface that is clear and easy for anyone to understand.
IBM Lotus Symphony is absolutely free and can be downloaded for Linux or Windows. To download it, you must register on the IBM website. The suite is still in beta, so it's not 100-percent stable, but it is definitely worth taking a look at!
