K-3D is one of the best free (OpenSource, to be exact) 3D graphics and modeling programs out there. It's great for making 3D
animations, backgrounds, objects, characters and more.
This is a professional software package that can go toe to toe with the best ones on the market. It's so feature
rich that while it is quite easy to use, it is probably better suited for someone who has a bit of experience using
3D modeling software packages. And the program can be extended with OpenSource plug-ins available on the Web.
The official K-3D site features guides, tutorials and more for
helping you get up to speed on the program. We offer a link to the Windows version of the software but it is also available for Linux and Mac.
