Miro
Miro is quite an interesting project. It's a complete media center meant to make the most of your computer's multimedia capacity. Known initially as the Democracy Player, Miro has evolved over time and has some interesting features.
Miro allows you to watch videos you've saved on to your PC or streaming (even in HD), thanks to an integrated VLC Media Player compatible with the most popular formats (MPEG, AVI, XVID, MOV and many more). But that's not all. With Miro you can download YouTube videos and BitTorrent files. That's not to mention all of the television channels all over the world. The number of channels is staggering. At the moment, there are about 2,500 and more are constantly being added.
Miro is absolutely free, and is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista.
The program's developers claim it is better than Joost. What do you say?
