Office 2007 Beta
Microsoft, which is busy churning out new versions of its programs - and that includes the soon-to-come Windows Vista operating system - has recently released a beta version of Office 2007.
Office 2007 includes programs, such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access and Microsoft Outlook Express. A major change in the new Office is that menus disappear and are replaced by tabs. Otherwise, the software packages maintain the same level of versatility and usability for which they are known.
This version is obviously not the most stable and Microsoft itself doesn't recommend it for professional use. One can choose to download components piecemeal or the whole package, which is why file size fluctuates from 75 MB to 1 GB. To download you must have a Passport account and its also necessary to have Windows XP updated with Service Pack 2.
